How We Became More Eco-Friendly
We believe the decisions we make as a business have a great impact on our environment and our community. We are excited by the green alternatives available and for the opportunity to help.
We have found great environmentally friendly products that we are now offering as a green alternative to more traditional stains and sealers for all our concrete projects. Soycrete stain and Acri-soy sealers are non-hazardous, soy based, and produce excellent results!
We are also offering the option of 100% recycled glass aggregate in our concrete mix. We have a variety of colors and sizes to choose from for our all countertop and sink projects.
By joining the Green Builders Association of Central Pennsylvania we have had the opportunity to share ideas with likeminded people and learn of new ways to reduce waste and save energy.
We create our products with a very small margin for waste by reusing materials and planning efficiently, however on occasion we still have a scrap or two lying around the shop, or a little extra concrete.
We have found a creative way to reuse our scrap materials.

Switch to Compact Fluorescent Bulbs
Compact Fluorescent bulbs use about 1/4 of the energy of an incandescent bulb to produce the same amount of light.
If you replace four 60 watt bulbs with a CF bulb you will save 138.51 in your energy bills in the state of PA, over the lifetime of your bulb. You will also prevent 1,820 pounds of CO2.

Kitchen Countertops With Dual Drain boards
We were thrilled to create kitchen countertops for Kevin & Linda Brown.
They were interested in updating their existing countertops and incorporating more function and a great focal point to their kitchen.
Stainless Steel Dual Drain boards were a great solution. Not only do the drain boards serve the practical function of allowing plenty of room for draining dishes or fruits and vegetables but they provide a dramatic focal point for the kitchen!
The Browns chose the color buff with moderated aggregate exposure for added interest. They choose a satin sealer finish.
Our maintenance free sealer is a great choice for kitchen countertops. It is stain resistant, heat resistant up to 900 degrees, and scratch resistant. No additional sealing or waxing is ever required.
